Cranston, RI Real Estate
City neighborhoods in the east and farmland in the west, explained by a local Realtor who has sold homes here.
Ask me for current prices and days on market for your neighborhood.
Two Very Different Sides
Cranston borders Providence, and its eastern neighborhoods, like Edgewood, Knightsville and Garden City, offer established streets close to shops and the city. Western Cranston is more rural, with farms, orchards and larger lots.
That range means very different prices from one side of town to the other. I’ve sold homes here and I’ll help you understand what’s really selling near you.

What Buyers Should Check
- Inspections first. Older homes and newer builds both deserve a full inspection, including septic or sewer and the roof.
- Flood and insurance. Ask for a flood zone check and an insurance quote early, especially near rivers, ponds or the bay.
- Taxes and commute. Compare property taxes and map your daily drive before you fall in love with a house.
- The real monthly cost. I walk every buyer through taxes, insurance and the full payment at today’s rates.
